About Urban and Rural survival

Our Mission: Empower and educate people about practical preparedness and self-reliance.

Who We Are

At Urban and Rural Survival, we strive to offer a variety of services which empower and educate people. Classes such as First Aid/CPR and Concealed Carry prepare people for emergencies. Outdoors, survival and tactical gear in our retail store ensure you have what you need for any situation. During a time of massive division and alienation, we seek to bring individuals together from many walks of life with a similar goal in mind: to better ourselves and learn from each other.

What We Offer

Urban and Rural Survival offers classes and gear centered around essential and useful life skills and knowledge. These services cover a myriad of topics, ranging from first aid to weapons safety/training, off-grid living education and beyond. We want to inspire individuals to be creative, educated, empowered, and healthy, so that they may in turn inspire others.

Cameron Yarberry - Owner of Urban and Rural Survival, LLC

I grew up in Montana, and began my enjoyment of the outdoors there. It really blossomed during my college years in Fort Collins, CO where I enjoyed fishing and taking yearly trips elk hunting near Montrose, CO. The experiences and friendships I strengthened, especially on my elk hunting trips, completely changed my life. I learned how to push myself physically in some of the gnarliest terrain in the United States, battling the weather while chasing one of the most amazing and well-adapted creatures on Earth.

My story also took a unique twist where I became exposed to the occult and esoteric side of life. I developed a deep sense of spirituality which also became an integral part of my being and helped me understand why I am the way I am. I moved out to Montrose and continued this inner practice, while also focusing on creating a sustainable way of living for myself.

This is, of course, still a work in progress. I currently live off-grid on 40 acres where I enjoy waking up to the San Juan Mountains every morning.
